Holiday plant sale moves online for horticulture classes

The holiday plant sale is an event for horticulture classes and it helps them get out  and contribute to others. But this could be harder to do during these times and make sure students don’t have too much contact with others.

But Ms. Sam Pierce has found a way to make sure families can still get their wreaths and poinsettias from West. They have no contact options for these certain times, on the flyer circulating, there is a QR Code and link to order products to allow for contactless sales.

They are currently just taking orders right now and using the District 6 shopping cart system. The Floral Design will be creating the wreaths the first week of December. But currently students have been preparing the items needed for the wreaths. On the week of December 7, the customers with orders will go pick up their products from
Greeley West High School.

The sales are said to be doing well so far from taking orders. Pierce believes it is because they have made it easier to purchase items online and not worry about the cash/check option. “Sales are doing great! We have seen a major increase in the amount of community businesses willing to support our Horticulture students,” said Pierce.
