Who is Astrid Garcia?

Tanian Schuttler, Staff Writer

Name: Astrid Garica

Year: Sophomore

What are you thinking about doing for your future? I’m thinking about going to Boston for college and doing a lot of things in the arts. I either want to do something in the arts or in law. I think both could be really fun but either way I really want to go to Boston. I’m in love with Massachusetts!

Where do you work/What are you putting your work into? My full time job is Poms. I eat, sleep, and breathe Poms!

What’s your daily routine? I wake up at 6:50, leave the house at 7:15, go to school, go to practice for Poms, then to rehearsal. Usually I get home kind of late but then I just play Minecraft until I go to bed.

What’s your most essential ritual/habit? I have to aggressively push up my glasses all day long. I also tend to yank my pants up the whole day so that they don’t fall down. Besides that, I love tapping my foot at random times throughout the day.

Favorite hobbies: I love to sing, I love to dance, I love to work out. I really love to play video games, eat chips, and listen to music, though.

What is your favorite app on your phone? Episode. I get very invested in Episode. So invested! It’s so entertaining. I also really like Mario Kart. I like to play on my phone at school but I also love to play on my Nintendo 3DS but I am not going to bring that to school.

Favorite time waster? My favorite time waster is probably going on Pinterest and looking for Minecraft houses that I can build…that I never actually end up building.

What’s your sleep schedule? I tend to go to bed around 11:00 p.m. and wake up at 7 a.m. I also tend to wake up a lot in the middle of the night and I just stay awake longer than I need to when that happens. I get about four hours of sleep. That math might not add up but I swear it makes sense.

How do you know when you’ve been successful? I know that I’ve been successful when I don’t feel discouraged, when I think back to something that’s happened. Like when I think back to it and it makes me happy I know I was successful.
