Welcome to another The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, where we’ll recap the week’s events in a short digest that is user-friendly. You get to decide which was good, bad or ugly!  If you have something you want to be included in The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, please reach out to Mr. Falter or a West Word reporter.

Softball Scores: Our softball team took an astonishing 22-0 win against Mountain View on Monday, and a day later – on their senior night – the Spartans took a 15-0 win over the Wildcats which was the perfect way to send off their seniors Ashley Arredondo and Jaymie Steinmetz.  It didn’t hurt that it started West-Central week in a big way.

Concerts- This last week West’s band, orchestra, and choir were able to perform for the first time in the new Greeley West auditorium. Orchestra was able to present a colorful display with their performance of “The Sound of Color”.  Shout out to senior Jeb Mathews who worked the lighting and all of the musicians.

Tardies/Absences- Administrators seem to be having enough of the unexcused absences/tardiness of the students. They have implemented a new policy where if a student has five unexcused absences or one tardy coming back from lunch, then  off-campus privileges will be revoked. As of now, there isn’t any word of students being able to earn their off-campus privileges back.

Gum- There has been a recent influx on the amount of gum that has been left on things such as stairway railings, desks, and sidewalks. Principal Mr. Jeff Cranson made an announcement on Thursday asking students to avoid a sticky situation and place gum in the trash.

Soccer score- Soccer took an unfortunate loss against Longmont on Thursday evening by a score of 5-2. The Spartans face Centaurus next week in their Senior Night to give their seniors a send off.
