District crews clean up vandalism on building

Staff Reports

Greeley West High School fell victim to gang graffiti this week along with other buildings in the nearby community.  Greeley West is cooperating with Greeley police’s investigation of the incident and have turned over video surveillance footage of the alleged suspects.

The event happened in the early morning hours of 1:30 a.m. on October 26.  District 6 facilities crews immediately began removal of the graffiti, but the process was not finished before students arrived.

This incident reiterates the fact that we do have gang issues in our school and our community and why we have policies around gangs, dress codes, and safety and security on our campus,” Principal Jeff Cranson said in a statement.
