Senioritis is understandable

Diego Martinez, Editorial

It seems as if everyone who is in high school will get senioritis at some point during their high school career. However, now that the weather is starting to warm up big time, senioritis will start to become a lot bigger issue.

From my perspective, I feel like people won’t ditch their classes as much during the fall and winter because there isn’t much activities to do during these times. But now that it is a lot warmer outside and that there is only a little over two months left of school, students will be tempted a lot more to ditch their classes. Once all of the students get a little taste of summer, they want to get outside more often. They start to ditch their classes to go hiking, going the park, or just anything to get some sunshine.

Most seniors that I know don’t need very many credits left in order to graduate. These are the students that tend to ditch more often because they feel as if their presence isn’t important at school for classes that they don’t need to graduate. The students that seem to ditch a lot during this time of year shouldn’t be frowned upon entirely because most of the time, they don’t necessarily need to be at school.
