Greeley West has been a home to me for four years and it comes with many challenges and accomplishments. But with that, this teacher helped me accomplish and push myself to do the very best and I couldn’t have done a lot without the support. My freshman year, this teacher was introduced as my first AP class and from that moment on it changed the way I viewed school and life. He wasn’t an easy teacher. He pushed students a lot and made sure students couldn’t take the easy route. He may have seemed like a rude teacher with no care in the world, but he truly was not that bad. When I wanted to give up on school he made sure that wasn’t an option.
I’ve never been pushed to achieve great things I never thought I would have the strength to graduate high school and yet here I am. Having this teacher in my life for three straight years was nothing but a blessing. I’m so thankful I had someone to believe in me. If I could go back and do more and be better, I would. I feel a part of me let my favorite teacher down when he kept fighting to make sure I never did less than what I could do. It is truly saddest he couldn’t see the growth I made as a senior. I’m not a silly little freshman, instead I’ve grown.
I want to thank Mr. Paulson. You truly inspired me to do better and be better for myself. High school was the toughest thing for me and your dad jokes and silly little class moments meant a lot.
I’m super excited to continue my education and show everyone what I can all because a one amazing teacher didn’t stop helping or never stopped believing. This is my proudest moment and I hope I made you proud!
