Class president won’t change too much at West

Senior class president, Juliet Cha, has been in student council since elementary school. She has been driven to be the president of Greeley West High School because of her many years participating in school clubs such as student council.

Cha stated, “Student Council is ingrained in me, so I thought I could do it!” after being asked about for her motivation for president.

Cha, JulietCha ran against Ilse Montes who is now an officer for the senior class. Montes was okay with having Cha be the president. Montes stated, “I had a lot of ideas and plans to enhance Greeley West. But it is what it is and I hope Juliet does as good as I hoped too.”

To become President of the school body, students must have served on student council for a year. Students must get 50 signatures to show that they are supported before being on the ballot.

Each Spartan then promotes themselves through classes and trying to make people vote for them. Everyone votes online and the president is elected.

Don’t expect Chat to change too much as class president. Cha said, “I wouldn’t change a thing about West. I love West the way it is!”
