Clubs make history with high-attendance first meetings

On Thursday, September 1, 2016 Greeley students made history. Over 1,400 kids visited multiple clubs to get a feel for what it’s all about.

Each individual student was required to visit a club of their choosing to attend. During homeroom all students were given a paper that had all the different clubs to choose from and space at the bottom to write about their experience.

Lubs like Spanish Club, Interact Club, FFA, National Honors Society, and Student Council were given 20 minutes to sell their product to the students of West.

Tenth-grader Rebecca Nava said, “It was a good opportunity to meet new people and see what other clubs are about.”

Overall, students seemed to enjoy the experience of trying new things. This idea to get everyone involved has really impacted everyone at Greeley West.
