This year Greeley West has welcomed Taylor Plantt, a new teacher, to the Spartan family. Plantt teaches earth science and forensic science, which has just been added as a class this year at Greeley West.

The objective of the class is to learn a wide variety of science through the lens of forensics. The class will cover DNA testing, hair and fiber analysis, and much more.

Plantt spent his college years earning his degree at the University of Colorado.  During his college years, he student-taught at West for Mr. Zach Armstrong.

“As soon as I saw the job opening at West, I knew it would fit for me,” Plantt stated.  Plantt wanted to stay involved with the community.

Plantt said the most exciting part about teaching the class was that,“ I am really excited to teach about fingerprints because everyone has heard about them, but not in full detail and the aspect of fingerprinting. Teaching the finer aspects of finger printing should be eye opening and fun for everyone.
