The Greeley West Agriculture department went on a field trip to BIG Conference on Tuesday, September 20th at Island Grove.

Sophomore Cameron Simpkins talked about his experience at BIG this year: “We did a lot of pretty fun games and did some team activities that were alright I had a really good time meeting new people from other schools and getting to know them better. “

Simpkins said the experience wasn’t perfect, however. “I wouldn’t go back because there were too many freshmen who couldn’t control themselves. “Simpkins said.

Robert Erickson took away some good information as well.  “My favorite part of the day was getting back with my classmates and asking them about what they did and who they met. My favorite activity that we did was when we broke up into groups of kids from five different schools and did games,” Erickson said.

New agriculture teacher Sam Maxwell said, “The whole day, we worked on leadership skills. It was basically FFA boot camp, we wanted the kids to start to develop the skills they need to be a good FFA student.“ Maxwell said.
