Is Greeley West High School haunted? Mr. Moises Gonzales is an English teacher at Greeley West who seems to think so, and has a chilling a haunted experience during his time teaching at West.
On a Saturday in April, Gonzales came into Greeley West to simply make copies for his classes and tend to other tasks for class the following week. Originally, Gonzales planned to come in to work on Monday, but that day this week, by chance, they had a staff meeting, causing him to use his Saturday to come in and get work done.
West is a school that has motion-sensor lights that turn on whenever somebody walks in the halls, and when Gonzales made his way into the building, every light was off, along with the fact that there were no cars parked in the parking lot; he was all alone in the building.
As Gonzales was preparing for his classes, he spent most of his time in his classroom when he heard the toilet from down the hall flush all on its own. This wouldn’t be necessarily unusual, but all of the lights in the building were still off, meaning there could not be anyone in the bathroom. “I was just sitting here minding my business, no music, no headphones, just silence, and all of a sudden, you hear the staff bathroom flush. At first, I thought someone came with me, but the lights never turned on.” The lights in the hallway were still off, and the toilets needed to be manually flushed on their own.
“When I had seen the bathroom from my class, the lights weren’t on, so it wasn’t like someone was there and caused it, because there was nobody there.” Gonzales proceeded to step out of his classroom, all of the lights turned on as he made his way down the hall, and saw an open staff bathroom door that showed no signs of anybody being there prior.
After Gonzales realized he was alone in the building and that the toilet had flushed on its own, he quickly finished his tasks and left in a hurry. Since then, Gonzales has not spent another Saturday at Greeley West alone. “From then to now, I’ve only come in once this semester, but when I come in, someone else is always with me, so I feel more comfortable.”
This experience from Gonzales leaves many questions unanswered, most from Gonzales himself, who is still trying to find an explanation for what happened on that Saturday in April.
