The performing arts programs are putting on the Swing N’ Sweats dance and fundraiser tonight at the Armory in downtown Greeley.

Junior Hailey Thompson Chartier will perform with the Greeley West Choir and Advanced Jazz Band. Chartier is most excited to see all the groups perform. “I’m excited to see the variety of groups perform, including the Chappelow Jazz Band and the Kream of the Krop Big Band,” Chartier explained.

Junior Gavin Webb will perform in the Advanced Jazz Band. Webb is a percussionist and mainly plays the drum set.  Webb is mostly excited about, “using the hard work I’ve put in this to make money for my school.”

Chartier expects people to see “an amazing outcome of all the hard work the performers have put into their music as well as the time and effort the directors gave to put this together.”

Webb wants people to expect a great performance and atmosphere. “People should expect to see many talented students in a vibrant and eccentric atmosphere,” Webb said.

The entire performing arts department invites everyone to come out and support these young performers at the Armory from 7-10 p.m. There will be desserts, coffee, a silent auction, and live music.
