As graduation approaches Greeley West High School, seniors are beginning the next chapter of their lives. The Class of 2026 is setting ambitious goals and preparing to take the next step in their journeys.
For senior Ariana Ramirez, the future holds a huge opportunity for her and it happens to be close to home. Ramirez is deciding between attending Colorado State University or the University of Colorado Boulder. She has yet to decide what she will be studying but she is excited that she has options that will lead her to the right path. Continuing her education in Colorado and staying connected to home will be a huge benefit when needing help as you adjust to college.Â
Aileen Mendiola Morales is thinking even bigger. She plans to attend the University of Michigan, where she intends to double major in biology and mathematics. Her long term goal is to become a surgeon. Morales has always been passionate about science, and problem solving. With her combining both subjects it will prepare her for the challenges that the area of medicine will bring. Mendiola Morales is planning to tour the University of Michigan on Friday to finalize her decision.
Hailey Ratliff is also headed to Colorado State University, where she plans to study political science. Ratliff hopes to better understand government systems, and how leaders create change. Ratliff is passionate about leadership and is eager to expand her knowledge to make a huge impact one day.
These seniors represent the drive and ambition found throughout Greeley West HIgh School. Whether pursuing careers in medicine, politics, or other fields, they are ready to embrace what it has to offer. As graduation is near, aspirations serve as a reminder that the future is something to build and look forward to.Â
