Juniors from the Greely West AVID program recently took an exciting trip to a Wyoming college campus, giving them a firsthand look at college life and what their futures could hold. The visit was designed to help students envision themselves in a higher education setting while exploring academic opportunities and campus culture.
Throughout the day, students toured classrooms, dorms, and common areas, gaining insight into daily college routines. Many were impressed by the welcoming environment and the beauty of the campus. Junior Sophie Herold shared her thoughts, saying, “The campus is so pretty. I loved seeing all the open spaces and how everything is set up. It made me feel like I could actually see myself here one day.”
In addition to the tour, students had the chance to experience campus dining. Junior Zuri Venegas highlighted one of her favorite parts of the trip: spending time with her friends. “I really enjoyed lunch with everyone,” she said. “It was fun just sitting together, talking, and then walking around after. It felt like we were already college students.”
The trip also included time for students to explore on their own, ask questions, and take in the atmosphere. Hang out with friends and make the experience even more meaningful.
